We are proud to share that Scituate Middle School has been recognized as a Project ADAM Heart Safe School. This designation reflects our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety through preparedness, CPR/AED training, and emergency response planning. Thank you to our school nurse, staff, and community partners for helping us achieve this important milestone in protecting the health and safety of our school community.
October is National Principals Month, and we have some of the best around at the Scituate School Department! Our principals go above and beyond for our students every day, making sure our students are experiencing engaging learning and feel safe and supported in their environments, all while supporting our educators and staff so that they can create the best classroom experiences for our students. We are so grateful to have them working hard in our schools. Middle school students in Ms. DeCristofaro's classes are strengthening their reading fluency with whisper phones. These simple tools help readers hear themselves more clearly and help improve accuracy, pacing, and expression.

Tomorrow, Scituate will hold our in-district annual Shadow Day for all Scituate 8th grade students!
Students will have the chance to experience our Scituate High School Career and Technical Education Academies through hands-on activities that will allow students to explore:

💥 Laser Cutting
🚑 CPR & First Aid
🏥 Dissections, and more while touring our high school workshop and learning spaces, and playing educational games with SHS students and educators.
Out of district students who are interested in applying to an SHS CTE Academy should keep an eye out for information coming soon about our February 4th Open House, where we will welcome all Rhode Island 8th and 9th grade students to join in on SHS CTE exploration!
